Rather than talk feelings at length, you show love by solving the other person's problem.

In love

Practical questions come up early for you, like where you would live or how you would handle money. You notice quickly whether someone keeps their word, and small broken promises stay with you. You end up running the shared admin, from a trip budget to a moving checklist.

Under stress

A problem that no plan can fix, like a parent's illness or an insurance claim that drags on, leaves you tense for weeks. You stay at work later each night and eat dinner standing up. Being told to just let it go makes you push harder. What eases it is crossing off one task that has a clear end, such as filing a tax return early.

Watch out for

Leading with efficiency can miss what someone's dealing with. Asking one more time is worth it.
